We believe that, like all the best things, travel takes time. Our favorite trips aren’t the ones where we’ve crammed in the most activities — they’re the ones that have felt like a slice of a real life.
When we slow down in our travels, we get to really experience a new culture and meet people we wouldn’t have met.
And longer, if you’d like!
A full seven days on Koh Phangan gives you time to enjoy the island’s best sights, actually get to know your roommates, and do some relaxing in between.
Not your average hostel.
Slow travelers tend to have a lot in common. Whether you’re a digital nomad or someone enrolling in a Muay Thai camp, Tangerine Dream attracts independent travelers who want to make lasting friendships.
A stay that means more.
We believe travel is richer when you can contribute to the larger local community. A stay at Tangerine Dream includes one free Thai language lesson and organized volunteer opportunities to give back to the island.
We’ve limited our co-living space to ten travelers, so that we can maintain bright, spacious rooms that you’ll love. As long-term travelers ourselves, we’ve prioritized the things that matter to us — ultra comfortable mattresses and sheets, cleanliness, and enough space to spread out.
“They’re making something really special there, a real tangerine dream. The place isn’t like a regular hostel, they set a very friendly and open vibe that makes you feel like coming back home with your roommates. I’m very grateful because my experience in Koh Phangan felt closer to the local vibe thanks to them.”
